At Christian Virtual School we offer quality online Christian education for both elementary and secondary students. Our fully online, self-paced courses follow the Ontario curriculum and challenge students to grow both academically and spiritually. We are so excited to welcome many new Grade 9 students this month, who will be joining us for the 2021-2022 school year. These students are beginning their journey towards earning the Ontario Secondary School (OSSD) with CVS and we are thrilled to be able to support them.
Those entering secondary school for the first time may be filled with excitement, enthusiasm, and apprehension. Here at CVS, we want to provide support and guidance to our students as they navigate the secondary school system. Grade 9 students can expect to complete 8 credits/courses , all of which contribute toward the OSSD compulsory requirements.
A Grade 9 student at CVS has the following courses available to them:

Our Grade 9 students are offered a great program called myBlueprint. We offer myBlueprint accounts to all students from Grades 7-12. myBlueprint is a comprehensive career/life planning tool that offers students many resources. Students can complete surveys and assessments about their interests, knowledge, and skills. They can plan their courses using the secondary school course planner, build budgets, create a resumé and cover letter, and are able to search for post-secondary programs suited to their interests. myBlueprint is a great tool for students of all ages and is particularly useful for our Grade 9 students as they begin planning their courses at the secondary level. If you are curious about CVS and have questions about anything guidance related, feel free to schedule a guidance consultation on our website.
As always, we are offering our William L. Kean Bursary this month, and students are welcome to apply here.
