Our fourth annual Grade 8 to Grade 9 Transition Information session is coming up! We cannot wait to see you all on Tuesday March 26, 2024 at 7PM EST. We know that the transition from elementary to secondary school can be unfamiliar and feel overwhelming. We want to help, and make the transition as smooth as possible!
This session is a great opportunity for students and parents to get a glimpse at our courses, ask any questions, and plan for the 2024-2025 school year. With over 25 years of combined experience in online education and secondary school administration, we are here to answer any questions and concerns.
Historically, this session has been a helpful resource for parents and students to feel more closely connected with the school as well as more informed about the upcoming change in their educational journey.
During the Grade 8 to 9 Transition Information Session, we will:
- Provide a guided tour of our learning environment and courses
- Discuss course selection and a typical Grade 9 year
- Outline the OSSD requirements, including any recent changes
- Provide a quick virtual tour of myBlueprint – a career/life planning tool that all full time CVS students have access to
- Explore the various ongoing community initiatives at CVS
- Meet current Grade 9 teachers
- Answer any questions or concerns
