After months of hard work, collaboration, and prayer, we are finally ready to launch the next course in our grade 9 suite: Introduction to Business!
We want to extend a heartfelt thanks to everyone who was involved in the preparation of this course: Sheri Leeder, T’Miika Sjaarda, and Hannah Kwasniewski. Without their help and tireless efforts we wouldn’t be able to offer you this course today!
We are also excited to let you know that Derek Grainger will be teaching this course. Those of you already in his Grade 9 mathematics class know just how great this course will be because of him.
Course Outline
This course will introduce students to the world of business. Students will develop an understanding of the functions of business, including accounting, marketing, information and communication technology, human resources, production, and of the importance of ethics and social responsibility. This course builds a foundation for further studies in business and helps students develop the business knowledge and skills they will need in their everyday lives.
Throughout the course students will be asked to reflect on and identify their knowledge of business and entrepreneurship, their wants and needs, and their fundamental employable skills, all while examining business through a Christian perspective.
