International Admissions

We are so excited that you are considering Christian Virtual School for your education! Our vision is a world in which everyone has access to Christian education. To support that vision, we are constantly trying to make our admissions process for international students as simple and affordable as possible.

International Status

An international student at Christian Virtual School is neither a Canadian citizen nor a permanent resident of Canada.

If a student is enrolling from outside Canada, but one of the following applies to them, he or she would not be considered an international student:

  1. The student is a Canadian citizen
  2. He or she has a permanent residence in Canada
  3. The student is already attending a Canadian International School that follows the Ontario curriculum

Study Permits

At Christian Virtual School students can attend classes from anywhere in the world! There is no requirement for a study permit, or for students and their families to relocate to Canada. However, if a student is considering physically entering Canada to study, he or she may need a specific visa or permit. If this is the case, students or their families should contact Citizenship and Immigration Canada for more information.

Ontario Secondary School Diploma

Christian Virtual School is an inspected private school granting credits toward the OSSD. Our Ontario Ministry of Education BSID number is 669600. All high school courses taken through Christian Virtual School will help students earn their Ontario Secondary School Diploma. This diploma is recognized by schools across Ontario and by post-secondary institutions around the world.

Language Requirement

All of our courses at Christian Virtual School are offered in English. Although we do have supports for students who are learning English, proficiency in English is a requirement of all students who take courses at Christian Virtual School.

Additional Fees

Our goal is to maintain an affordable option for all of our students, Canadian and international. For this reason, we do not charge a different tuition fee for international students. The fees listed on the elementary and secondary pages are applicable to all Christian Virtual School students.

In addition to the tuition fee, a few administrative costs for international students apply as outlined in the table below.
